Soapworks Announce Change At The Top

It is with a mixture of sadness and gratitude that the Board of Directors of Soapworks Ltd announces Jan Zadruzynski’s departure as Managing Director.

Jan has spent over 30 years with Soapworks, helping Anita Roddick’s vision become a reality. His leadership, passion and commitment has seen Soapworks grow from a community based enterprise to become the largest employer in the Greater Easterhouse area with international customers, industry leading expertise and an unrivalled reputation for quality and sustainability.

As well as creating an enviable manufacturing legacy Jan ensured Soapworks never lost sight of its original community regeneration aim. Over the years Soapworks has made regular contributions to local charities, worked closely with local schools and youth groups and was instrumental in establishing the Health and Beauty Suite at Glasgow Kelvin College.

An area Jan is incredibly proud of is Soapworks in-house charity, ‘Soap Aid’ which re-purposes excess raw materials to create bar soaps which are then donated worldwide. These soaps are destined to help people affected by natural disasters such as flooding and earthquakes as well as conflict and acute deprivation.

More recently Jan guided Soapworks to its 30th year in business and oversaw the acquisition of Soapworks by the Daabon Group, ushering in an exciting new era in Soapworks history.

Initially Jan Wels, European Director – The Daabon Group, will temporarily take over running of Soapworks Ltd.

The company would like to place on record our thanks to Jan Zadruzynski, his vision and energy will be missed and we would like to wish Jan every success in the future.
