Technical & Compliance Officer Vacancy

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join our team, for the newly created, multi-faceted role of Technical & Compliance Assistant working alongside the Technical & Compliance Manager within our Technical Department. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist in the management of all processes and procedures to ensure all formulations are developed within acceptable timeframes and on budget whilst ensuring compliance with all regulatory, legislative, company and customer requirements
  • Working alongside the NPD Technical Assistant on formulations, raw material sourcing and regulatory matters
  • To assist in the management/support the numerous business management systems including Cosmetics GMP, ISO14001, ISO45001, RSPO SCCI and Organic standards
  • To be customer facing to provide a central point for compliance queries
  • Managing all other non-regulatory compliance obligations

Qualifications/Experience:

  • The successful candidate will hold a degree level qualification in a scientific  discipline or have relevant experience in a similar technical capacity with a good mix of technical and administrative skills
  • Ability and experience of working in customer facing roles, presenting on Technical and Compliance matters

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/attributes:

  • An understanding of consumer goods quantitative formulations and experience in providing these and associated ingredients listings
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills and a genuine ability to manage complex and fluctuating stakeholder needs and project deadlines.
  • To be innovative and creative in the development of new soap and other personal care products and sourcing of new materials
  • Have drive, energy and enthusiasm working within a technical and compliance environment.
  • Have a proactive approach to daily tasks and have good organisational skills
  • Professional and responsible individual with a friendly and confident manner
  • An enthusiastic team player, self-motivated and have a passion for innovation and spotting new trends
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages

Normal Hours of Work:                      37.5hr/ week (Monday-Friday), 8.30am-5.00pm

Salary:                                                    £20,000-£24,000
