Vacancy - Financial Analyst, Costing & Reporting

This newly created role, reporting to the Management Accountant, will be responsible for the development and implementation of a new integrated product costing system as well as delivering meaningful financial analysis across the full scope of the manufacturing process. This is a varied and challenging role supporting the business during an important period of change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementation, development and maintenance of new integrated product costing system
  • Managing tenders/quotations for new business. Working closely with key departments and suppliers in obtaining material quotes and setting labour costs and contribution levels.
  • Ensuring standardisation of the costing procedure throughout the business
  • Analysis of post-production results and follow up with key departments
  • Labour Efficiency analysis and reporting
  • Reporting on gross contribution by customer
  • Assisting annual budget preparation
  • Budget Variance Analysis
  • Assisting in preparation of Board Reports
  • Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required

Key Skills and Experience;

  • Newly Qualified / Finalist CIMA or ACCA
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector would be advantageous
  • An excellent knowledge of product costing and previous experience working with a product costing software
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with staff of all levels, both financial and non-financial
  • Strong IT skills including excel
  • Previous exposure to Microsoft Navision would be advantageous
